Since 1991, Festival "La Route du Rock" is indissociable from Saint Malo image. Having begun in the city, it since 1994, settled in the walls of the Fort of St Père. Coming from all the areas of France and Europe, thousands of people converge for a week end to discover artists of music but also a whole area, some using for the occasion the infrastructures of the region of Saint Malo (hotels, camp-sites, trade, transports...). the bringing together of the festival with Saint Malo, engaged in 2002 (the Beach) and continued in 2003 (the Palais du Grand Large), arrives at the same moment as the decision of the municipality to gradually reduce its subsidy until suppression of this one, which means the programmed death of this festival in this area. The "Route du Rock" faithful spectators are attached to the existence of this festival in this unique place and by this petition can concretize this attachment to hope to inflect the decisions of the town hall of Saint Malo."As a spectator of the "Route du Rock" Festival, I state to support the organizers of the festival and request to the town hall of Saint Malo to reconsider his decision to gradually reduce his financial assistance to the festival in order to preserve the existence of this event of music in Saint Malo".
